Best Dresses At The 2017 Golden Globes

The Golden Globes are one of the most anticipated and important red carpets of the year — arguably rivaled only by the Oscars. Airing in January, the Golden Globes are also the year’s first red carpet, setting the stage for what trends we can expect on carpets to come.

Last weekend’s Golden Globes started 2017 on an excellent fashion-forward note. This year, we saw plenty of sleek pantsuits, bold yellow hues, and no shortage of unique details on all of the winners’ dresses. Did anyone expect a carpet to have capes, suits, and stars? In past years, many winners’ dresses go on to become iconic — and this year’s carpet offered some definite contenders.

And without further ado, here are our picks for the night’s best-dressed stars!

Who do you think deserved to be best-dressed at this year’s Golden Globes? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below!

Emma Stone’s film La La Land proved to be the night’s big winner, and so was her dress. Never one to opt for a look we’ve seen a million times before, Emma’s starry dress — made by Valentino Haute Couture — cleverly paid homage to La La Land‘s song, “City of Stars.”
